2015 - A turbulent year on Planet Earth. As we all struggle with the realities of violence around us, of injustice and greed, we look for answers. Our contribution here at Ropeadope is to nurture and support those humans who bring love and light into existence through music, and there are many who have trusted us on this journey. Our intent with this compilation was to release a collection of positive and uplifting songs, and for the most part we have succeeded. But as we put the collection together a few tracks of solemn reflection came into the mix, and a few tracks of caution about the issues that we face as humans. The result is both an inward meditation and an outward message of love and light.
The album stands in four parts - EARTH, LOVE, JOY, and PEACE - four elements of the solution with three tracks that just felt like interludes. And of course we could not complete the album without some unreleased gems from Light Blue Movers and Matt Cappy featuring Marsha Ambrosius. Please enjoy the music while your planet heals.
